The 2019 UCI Road World Championships are scheduled to be held between 22 and 29 September 2019 in Harrogate, United Kingdom. It will be the 92nd UCI Road World Championships and the fourth to be held in the United Kingdom. 2019 World Championships in Yorkshire promise to proved a week of action-packed racing that takes in the whole region. Sunday 29 September - The men's road race at the Worlds in Yorshire is played out on a lumpy course of 284.5 kilometres. The first 185 kilometres mimic the Tour de France Grand Départ stage from 2014 before the riders tackle a tough and technical circuit in and around Harrogate. The 14 kilometres lap is repeated seven times.
The riders click into their pedals in Leeds city centre before the official start will be given at Cookridge after a neutralised zone of 10.5 kilometres. The riders head north through the Dales and are due to reach Kettlewell before the first uphill appears. The Cray is perfect to stretch the legs as the hill is 6.6 kilometres long and the average gradient sits at 1.3%, After the Penny Pot Lane ramp the route continues back to Harrogate. The men’s road race at the Worlds heads out from Leeds at 8.40 to finish on Harrogate’s Parliament Street around 15.20 – both are local times (BST)
